Build A Logic Studio For Less Than $1,000

MacLife has a post showing you how to set up a mac-based recording studio for less than a grand. Of course you could use GarageBand to fulfill your software requirements, which comes free with your Mac, but MacLife recommends Logic Express. They even make specific audio interface, microphone, and monitor recommendations. If your budget is lower, they have a $500 studio recommendation. Something for everybody!

  1. Robert G. Rutkas says:

I need to say that as a composer/arranger, I started out using pen and paper. I entered the computer age of composing with much trepidation! As an instrumentalist, I am primarily a woodwinds player, alto sax being my main axe. When I learned that The best altoist in the world, Phil Woods, used Sibilius, that was all I needed to know. The best thing I ever did for my creative side was to hook up with LOGIC!

    • I’m a big pen and paper guy too (Also played tenor sax most of my life). I love to think about how far technology has come!

P.S. I’ve got a few Phil Woods transcriptions to share with you sometime!
