Hi, I just signed on as a premium subscriber and was hoping to better
understand comping takes in Logic by watching your video on the topic.
However, when I selected the video for comping takes, what played instead
was a video on punch recording. I then selected the video on punch recording
suspecting that it would bring up the other video on comping, but no such luck. It appears the video on punch recording is at 2 sites and the video on comping is either indexed incorrectly or playing in another galaxy. Hope you can fix this soon so I can see the comping video. Thanks.

Just tested it and it is the correct video. Try downloading it to your desktop.
can you record multiple tracks at once? for example, if you have an apogee duet with one mic and one guitar connected to it and you hook it up to logic?
Sure. Just choose the correct I/O in the track’s inspector and record enable both tracks.
ableton was nice, but Logic really has it down! nice video. thanks!
Can you composite takes with midi? I’m trying to composite takes I made with the computer keyboard. I had to adjust the Midi settings just to get it to even make take folders, but I cant’t get any composite action going. Any ideas? Thanks…
I hate to be a bummer but you can’t use Quick Swipe with MIDI takes. You can record MIDI takes though and it seems you figured that out. But for everyone else, open the Recording project settings, open the Overlapping Recordings pop-up menu and choose “Create take folders.” Then turn on Cycle mode, set a cycle area, and record. Once you’ve done this, you can cut and paste a comp track.
