This tutorial covers the basics of beat mapping an audio region. You will learn how to match the tempo grid to an existing audio region while maintaining the timing variations of the source audio file.
Required: Short audio file (approx. 2 – 4 bars), preferably monophonic with a fairly distinct rhythmic pattern.

So this tutorial is to help lock the grid to the tempo of the live guitar. But what if you want your live guitar to lock in to the set tempo..say the tempo is 120 and you guitar playing is a bit off…but you want to move it so that it locks in to 120??
