MIDI Punch Recording

When recording it is possible to punch-on-the-fly or use preprogrammed punches. To punch-on-the-fly, Control-click (right-click) the Record button on the Transport bar and select the "Punch on the Fly" option.

To use preprogrammed punches, turn on the Autopunch button on the Transport bar and set the left and right locators appropriately. Next set the Playhead anywhere for the the punch in location and activate Play mode.
