Automation Modes

The automation modes are:

  • read - automates using present automation data
  • touch - same as read mode except will overwrite any changes made in realtime until the controller is released
  • latch - same as touch mode except values after the controller is released continue being written
  • write - all existing automation is erased as the playhead passes it and any new information is written
  • off - disables written automation for the track


The mode can be selected in:

  • the track header's Automation Mode menu
  • the channel strip in the Mixer or Arrange channel strip
