The File Browser

The File Browser allows for quick searching of all file types supported by Logic Pro:
- Logic project files (including legacy song files)
- GarageBand projects
- Logic Pro compatible project formats (OMF, AAF, OpenTL, XML, and MID files)
- Audio files
- QuickTime movies
The buttons in the File Browser:
- Back/Forward buttons - move back and forward through selections just as in Finder
- Path menu - allows for movement to levels up in the file system
- Computer button - shows contents of local and attached hard drive and media devices
- Home button - shows contents of your user folder
- Project button - goes to the project folder of the current project
- View buttons - allows for view or list view
- Search field - allows for text to be entered for searching
- Search filters - allows searches to be limited to file types/formats, dates, sizes, and other criteria
- File list - provides view of Logic-related files at the current location based on specified search criteria
- Action pop-up menu: allows selected file to be added to the Audio Bin or for the file path to be displayed in Finder
- Play button - plays/stops play of selected file
