What's New in Logic Pro 12.3.1 (Mac)

Logic Pro 12.3.1 is a maintenance release after Logic Pro 12.3. No new features were added, but a few of these fixes are worth the update.

Mixer Fix

A Channel Strip pinned to a track no longer corrupts the project.

Crash Fixes

  • Logic no longer quits when you double-click a chord in the Chord Track.
  • Logic no longer quits when you play MIDI in a project that contains video.

Restored Editing Behavior

  • The right side of a crossfade can be dragged and extended.
  • Beat mapping transients can be relocated.

Editing and Score

  • Cursor Tool modes now activate immediately, without requiring the cursor to move first.
  • The Score responds to Staff Style changes made in the Inspector.

Performance and General

  • Logic performs better on tracks that contain many regions.
  • System Settings output now stays synchronized as expected.

Should You Update?

Yes. It's a small release with no new features to learn. If you pinned channel strips or worked with video in 12.3, this one is for you.
