Converting MIDI to Audio

It is important to note that MIDI tracks sent to external devices must be recorded as audio before a project can be bounced (or mixed down). To do this:

  • connect the audio output of the external MIDI device to the input of the sound card
  • create a new audio channel
  • activate playback and simultaneously record that region in realtime
