Groove Machine

This function is used to adjust the feel (e.g., swing, groove) of audio. To use this function select the area of audio to be affected, then select Factory > Groove Machine. From there options are:

  • Swing - modifies the swing factor (NOTE: 50% is standard, the best results are often achieved with settings between 50-65%)
  • Based on Period - select whether swing is based on 8th or 16th notes
  • Down Beat Level and Off Beat Level - select whether emphasis is to be placed on down or off beats
  • Corresponds with Tempo - sets project tempo at the playhead position
  • To Bar Length - defines selection length by bars, beats, divisions, and ticks
